Closure of Zumba classes

Hey folks, This week will be our last week of Zumba fitness classes by Danza Loca.

Yesterday was our last class at Royal Park in West Perth. Tonight at 6pm will be our last Tuesday night class in South Perth. Birthday Girl Zin Freya has been amazing, and I would like to acknowledge her awesome work, dedication and efforts. We wish her the best in all things.

Friday 9.30am at South Perth, will be also be my last class, although popular ZIN Diana Featherstone will be taking over in following weeks, and will honour any class credit from Danza Loca punch-cards already purchased. Diana also has a class Tuesday at 6pm in Como and invites you all to join her there.

We will maintain our internet and Facebook presence at least for now, and you are still welcome to post in our groups and pages.

As for me, I’m being taken in a new direction with Danza Loca now, and simply will not have the time and resources to devote to Zumba Fitness anymore.

I apologise to those of you who will miss our classes and the way we do them. I have been very proud of what we achieved with Zumba since 2009, including running up to122 weekly classes, which brought me a whole new level of growth, support and things for which to be grateful.

As we close this chapter in Danza Loca’s 20 year history however, I am truly excited for the things we have to come, so I hope you’ll stay in touch through our social dancing side of the business, “Salsa with Danza Loca”.

As I mentioned, MY last Zumba class will also be this Friday, and I’d love to see you all one last time.

With Danza Rama just past and Christmas around the corner, read on for more…

Firstly, many thanks to the many people who helped make Danza Rama 2012 such a successful night.
People loved the meal, performances were well received, and the social dance competitions were popular and well supported. The party rocked on ‘til after 1am and our feet were begging for mercy 🙂
We’re already thinking about the next one! Over 1400 hi-resolution PHOTOS! (courtesy of ‘Mad Megan’ Photography) have been made available on our galleries, feel free to search for yours and print.

SALSA

Christmas and New Year’s Day this year both fall on a Tuesday so last Salsa night at Mustang bar for 2012 will be December 18th. Come and party with us in your “Christmassiest” spirit! Tuesday night classes at Mustang will resume 8th of January.
Regular Saturday Salsa classes will be winding up on December 22nd, but we do have some special workshops planned (Cuban Rumba, Puerto Rican Salsa, Kizomba) over the festive break so stay in touch with your inbox! (& join “Salsa with Danza Loca” on Facebook.) Regular Saturday classes (at King St Arts Centre) will resume Jan 12th
Still looking for a perfect Christmas gift? ZUMBA

Christmas Closures; the full timetable is available online at the ZUMBA class page, but in a nutshell:

Evening Classes finish on Thurs 20th and re-open on Wed January 2nd, in time to target those New Year’s resolutions!
Bentley classes have closed and will remain so. We expect to re-open similar timeslots in the New Year at Cannington Bowling Club nearby, which has better light & parking facilities.
Wednesday Classes at Vasto club will be expecting to move to Karrinyup Community Centre nearby in the New year, starting Jan 2nd
Mid week Morning classes at Royal Park finish on Thurs 20th and resume on January 3rd
Wednesday mornings at Canning Vale & Friday mornings at South Perth (Gold) have wound up already, and re-open in late January.
Melville classes finish on Fri 21st, and re-open on Mon 7th of January.
All Saturday classes (Royal Pk, Dianella and Melville) will have their final class on 15th December. All re-open on the 12th of Jan.
Last ZUMBA class for the year will be Sun 23rd at 9am Royal Park. Sundays will re-open from the 6th Jan.

PRICE INCREASE: There will be a $1 price increase to $13 for each casual ZUMBA class from January 1st. 10 lesson punch-cards will go to $110.

Thanks again to all our students, supporters, staff and friends who have helped make 2012 such a memorable year.
We will only be taking a short break over the Festive season before resuming early in January.
