Simon here from Danza Loca with updates for Salsa lovers and Zumba addicts.
DANZA RAMA is back!! (Nov 17th)
For those who missed out last year, our first Danza Rama was a HUGE sellout. People loved the “formal” Gala/Cabaret Ball format with activities and entertainment for both our social dancing/Salsa crowd and our awesome Zumba fitness crew!
This years programme is shaping up even better, as we learned a lot from our first function about creating the type of event that Danza Loca students will continue to enjoy and demand!
As last year, there are heaps of ways to participate:
1) Naturally, buy a ticket and come party with us! Dress to impress! Tickets will be available soon.
2) Salsa students will also have the opportunity to
a) Join our Salsa (rueda) performance group (s). READ BELOW!
b) Present a solo “Spotlight” performance in their dance of choice. Contact our office for details (Ph 0402 092 900)
c) Participate in friendly social dance competitions. Not so many as last year but still fun opportunities for all students. More info coming..
3) ZUMBA students are invited again to join the ZUMBA CREW DANCE CHALLENGE! More info coming!
SALSA PERFORMANCE GROUPS!
Want to perform with us at DANZA RAMA?
Danza Loca Salsa students from Intermediate 1 and above are invited to join one of our rueda groups performing in the dinner cabaret show at our biggest party of the year!
2 hour weekly rehearsals start Monday 3rd September, (8-10pm at Royal Park, $25/session), though you will need a little extra for your costume if required, filming and of course, your ticket. (We’ll be discussing some of these details at the first rehearsal, as well as the possibility of a second group on Thursdays).
A commitment to attend all rehearsals as well as Danza Rama is expected.
Take this opportunity to refine your dancing with your new teammates and learn special performance dance choreography and figures!
